The organization, with the support of Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Hassan, initiated a biogas project by constructing Deenabandhu model units. Around 1,200 biogas plants were set up, primarily benefiting SHG members who utilized cattle waste to generate methane gas for cooking purposes. The program functioned effectively from 2013 onwards, but due to the rising cost and scarcity of sand for construction, the initiative was eventually discontinued.

Can replace compressed natural gas (CNG) in vehicles.
Displaces carbon dioxide in on-site Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants.
Produces nutrient-rich solid by-products that serve as organic manure.
Can also be utilized in hydrogen fuel cells.
