The organization implemented the Digital Literacy – Internet Saathi Program, sponsored by Google Trust, in Hassan and Chikkamagaluru districts. A total of 700 volunteers were engaged in this initiative, which primarily focused on empowering rural women with digital awareness. The program trained women on how to use mobile internet, explore its applications, and understand the benefits of digital access in their daily lives.
The Internet Saathi initiative has played a crucial role in bridging the digital divide, especially in rural India, where only 1 in 10 women use the internet compared to 1 in 3 nationally. By positioning Saathis as digital change agents, the program created sustainable community-led digital empowerment.”**
